Apply a water and stain protector to your leather jacket to prevent water spots or stains. Prevent damage to your jacket by protecting it with an odorless, colorless aerosol protective spray before you wear it.

Hang your jacket on wide, padded hangers so the leather maintains its shape. This also forces any wrinkles to drop naturally from your garment. Store the leather jacket in a breathable garment bag and avoid allowing it to stay in a plastic dry cleaning or storage bag.

Allow your leather jacket to naturally air dry if it becomes wet. Avoid blow dryers, heat vents or other heat sources during the drying process.

Condition your leather jacket if it becomes dry or cracked. Check with your professional leather cleaning speacialist for the best product to use on your jacket.
